 NAGALAND Kohima, (MExN): ReDimension Games, a game development studio based in Kohima, participated in the Game Developers Conference (GDC) held at San Francisco, California, USA from March 18 to 22. ReDimension Games with their game, Sojourn Past, showcased their game under the Indian Pavilion amongst other games from India. Pekrukhrietuo Pienyü, the studio's co-founder, who represented the studio at the Game Developers Conference commented that the event was an excellent opportunity for their team to reach a global audience as well as connect with the global game development industry and other fellow game developers. Game Developers Conference is the biggest annual event for Game developers all across the world. The event lasted for 5 days where people from all over the game developer industry worldwide participated and featured industry talks and exhibitions from the biggest companies from all over the world. ReDimension Games won the ‘Upcoming Game of the Year’ for Sojourn Past at the 15th edition of India Game Developer Conference (IGDC), India's oldest and biggest game developer conference, held at Hyderabad in November 2023. Recently, South Korean game publisher, KRAFTON India, known for publishing popular games such as PUBG: Battlegrounds, New State Mobile and TERA, selected ReDimension Games for Sojourn Past, as one of the two start-ups as part of its inaugural cohort KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) program, where the studio will receive financial assistance, resources and mentoring from experts in the industry. According to a DIPR report, Sojourn Past is an action-adventure game where players are engaged into a realm where emotion and innovation intertwine, crafting a captivating narrative that immerses players in a captivating world filled with wonderful visuals and secrets to uncover. It features a unique blend of immersive action combat blended with bullet-hell mechanics.
